At 1418 HRS. Station 27 was dispatched to 2600 William Penn Highway for an estimated 250-300 gallons of home heating oil. The spill was causing minor traffic problems on the highway.
Fire Commissioner D. A. Grube was 27 Command. 2751 confirmed with the business owner that there was no more product leaking. The eastbound lane of William Penn Highway was partially closed. E.M.A. 5, D.E.P., Penn-Dot, Palmer Sewer Department and an environmental clean up company was contacted.
All Police, Fire and EMS units were available at 1722 HRS.
