As our students head back to school, itโ€™s time for all drivers to be extra vigilant on the roads. School buses will be making their rounds, and itโ€™s our shared responsibility to ensure that every child gets to and from school safely.

Remember:

1. STOP When the Bus Stops: Itโ€™s the law! When a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop sign extended, all drivers must come to a complete stop, whether youโ€™re behind the bus or approaching from the opposite direction.
2. Slow Down in School Zones: Reduce your speed in school zones and be prepared to stop at any time. Kids can be unpredictable!
3. Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like texting or eating while driving, especially near schools and bus stops. A split-second of inattention can have serious consequences.
4. Watch for Children: Keep an eye out for children walking or biking to and from the bus stop. They may not always look before crossing the street.

Letโ€™s work together to make this school year a safe one for all of our students. Drive safely and be bus aware! ๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ““๐Ÿซ
