It takes a lot of courage to say that you are going to leave your job, sell everything and start all over 100’s of miles away in South Carolina. Jim said it, he did it, and today we are very excited to announce that ex-Chief and Life Member Jim Alercia has graduated from the City of Myrtle Beach Fire Academy Recruit Class 36.
On top of building a house, starting a new life, the last 6 months he has spent day in and day out attending the academy in preparation for today and his new career. We are sure some days were harder than others, but we have seen the pictures… Early morning runs on the beach and boardwalk, sun, sand, warm temperature, giving back to the community, volleyball, and concerts. If you know Jim, he is exactly where he needs to be. The only thing missing is “Tiki Monday”.
On behalf of the Palmer Municipal Fire Department, we congratulate Jim on completing the academy and wish him all the best in his new career. Additionally, we congratulate all the members of Myrtle Beach Fire Department Recruit Class 36 and wish them all years of success as they embark upon their new careers.
Jim has been assigned to “C” shift.
Congratulations from the Palmer Municipal Fire Department Members. Love Ya Brother, Be Safe!
